So, its been a tough ride these last couple of months with painting various armies for other events. I have however managed to finish my pair of Legion Apothecaries. Apologies for the shonky pictures, but this was an on-the-fly post! 

Next up is a Legion assault squad, a snapshot of the first 5 Legionnaires is below!

With the announcement of the first in a series of Horus Heresy events at Warhammer World, and with my doubles army out of the way i'm fully intending to get this blog back on track and get the Sons of the sunless world ready to crush some Loyalists at the end of August!

Sons of Horus - Contemptor - Complete

Well again its a bit late but finally the first of 3 Contemptors is finished. Hope you like it!

 

 

 

 

 

Due to some commitments to my 40K Doubles in April and having still not received my missing Terminator weapons from FW I will be going at my Apothocaries this month.

Hopefully I will be able to keep to the deadline for March!

We are the night...

Ok, little late with the update, but due to 2 weeks out of the country i had a little bit of catching up to do.

So, firstly, Captain Zar Thane is now 99% complete. I want to give him a nice shiny effect on his Paragon Axe, but i haven't had much practice with painting this effect, so i want to try it out a bit before committing it to my Legion Praetor!

For next months project, i shall be adding a little resilience to the force in the form of a pair of Legion Apothecarys. One has been equipped with an augury scanner because they kick ass when he's with his buddies in my upcoming 20 man Tactical squad!

I am a little behind again.. seems like a bit of a common theme for me. I will hopefully have the contemptor finished in the next couple of days. I can then get cracking with my 3 predators!

Im just going to let the photos do the talking im very pleased with how my Legion Praetor turned out. The Paragon blade took several attempts until i was finally happy with it.

 

All ready to take on the enemies of the emperor.

My project for next month

We have been wounded sorely. Yet still we stand, with fire in our eyes and valour in our hearts. Let them think us beaten. We shall teach them otherwise.

To start with i must apologise for the being late in updating my blog i've just started my degree and thats taken up most of my freetime but im now organised so it shouldnt happen again.

So here is my Legion Praetor Captain Alexis Pollux.  (as someone pointed out to me Captain Pollux should be armed with a powerfist my reply to this was its at the dry cleaners after slapping Night Lords about in which he has now painted his Night Lord Praetor holding an Imperial Fist helmet i think a little grudge is starting here)

As I had a little set back with my Justaerin I have decided to complete the first of 3 planned contemptors.

I wanted him to look like he was striding through a building laying down serious fire from his kheres assault cannons. Let me know what you think...

I have added a few extra details on his shoulders and the start of an 'Eye of Horus' on his right knee. I should have some paint on him by the end of the weekend.
